Mother’s Day

There are some people who are simply woven into every part of your life.

My mom is one of them.

She has been there through every season—through childhood days that felt endless, through growing pains and growing up, through the quiet moments and the hard ones, too. She has been a steady presence, a listening ear, a source of strength I didn’t always realize I was leaning on until I needed it most. She is my roadtrip partner, my cruise buddy, and always ready for the next adventure.

This photo captures something I love—just us, together, with the sun dipping low and the water stretching out behind us. No rush. No expectations. There’s a reason she always requests a balcony…I catch her sometimes sitting outside our cabin, just staring at the water. It’s worth the extra expense.

That must be what much of motherhood is. Not just the big milestones, but the accumulation of small, steady moments. The showing up. The staying.

I am grateful for her—for her love, her resilience, her patience, and her heart, and most all, her friendship. My mom is my best friend, and I celebrate her today, especially.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.
